Ayodhya's Truth Is In Ram Ke Naam film - Watch This

By Manuwant Choudhary

The truth about Ayodhya will not be found in a 60-year-old court battle or on TV panel discussions of arrogant RSS/BJP member Ravi Shankar but in a documentary film Ram Ke Naam by Anand Patwardan.

As a journalist in Bombay I had many occasions to interview Mr. Patwardhan at his home..and everytime it was because a film of his had been banned by the government and every time Mr. Patwardhan would go to court, fight endless legal battles, win and get his film telecast on Doordarshan 1.

The governments plea that his films would create a law and order problem was always a sham. Indians watched his films and there was no violence - just quiet contemplation - like the quiet after a storm.

Anand Patwardhan is himself a leftist film-maker but his films are admirable and I have personally seen him run alongside processions with a betacam on his shoulder to grab those rushes. A gentle bearded smile is what you would get from him. Those were days before TV happened in India.

His film Ram Ke Naam covers the Rath Yatra of Lal Krishna Advani, BJP leader, from Somnath to Ayodhya..ofcourse Advani was arrested at Samastipur by Laloo Prasad Yadav.

In the film there is a rare interview of Pujari Lal Das, the main priest of the Ramjanmabhoomi temple, who warns Indians against the designs of the Sangh pariwaar, and why the mosque structure need not be touched. "When there is heavy rains the grass grows so tall that one cannot find the path."

When the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh they removed Pujari Laldas as head priest of Ramjanmabhoomi.

And three years after he gave the interview, on November 17 1993 pujari Laldas was killed.

Ram Ke Naam can be purchased for 15 Euros at patwardhan.com.

Ayodhya Judgement - Justice Derailed!

By Manuwant Choudhary

60 years to give a verdict over a 2.7 acre plot of land and the judgement is to divide the land between Hindus, Muslims and a Hindu Akhara giving them one- third each...but the petitition before the court was not to partition the land but to claim ownership so this current judgement goes beyond jurisdiction.

The Hindus, Muslims and the Akhara are not brothers and sisters embroiled in an ancestral land dispute that the courts can divide it.

The courts decision is highly controversial especially since it says the Babri Masjid is not a mosque because Muslims did not offer prayers there and that the spot where the idols are kept is actually the spot where Ram was born!

It just shows that the courts want to assuage political and religious feelings in their desire to wriggle out of a tough situation.

What the courts could have honestly admitted that the lands title is not clear hence we cannot give it to any of the petitioners and it could be given for a public purpose like a hospital.

If you want to make everyone happy, you will make no one happy and I think this is what will happen ultimately.

Oscar Wilde said, "If you see two sides of a coin, you see nothing."

Tomorrows newspapers will ofcourse be all praise for the judges but one more time the Indian judiciaray fails its people.

The Waqf Board has already stated that it will appeal to the Supreme Court.

Judgement Day For Ayodhya Dispute - 60 Years Later

Judgement Day for the Ayodhya dispute after 60 years...this day everyone is keeping their fingers crossed not so much as whether Hindus or Muslims would win the case but over the violence that could result as a reaction.

Of course, the judgement comes from just the Luckhnow bench of the Allahabad High Court and this matter will go to the Supreme Court and beyond but it has left a scar on the face of India that no amount of cosmetic surgery can undo.

The BJP and L.K. Advani is solely responsible for pushing India into such a plight purely for political power. Early 90s saw largescale communal riots and bomb blasts following the demolition of the Ayodhya mosque.

Who really cares what is bult in its place...so here i post one of India's most secular bhajans often sung by Mahatma Gandhi himself...Raghupati Raja Ram...Pateet Pawan Sita Ram...Ishwar Allah Tero Naam Sabko Sammati De Bhagwan...

"Ram and Allah are your name...may good sense prevail.."

welcome rahulji, but shoot the dalits

Everything can be managed in India..even murder....just a few days before Rahul Gandhi's visit to Samastipur Congressmen shoot 6 persons, five of whom were dailts...even when Rahul Gandhi extorts Congressmen to spend nights in dalit homes...

The incident occurred at Kalichak where Sanjeev Singh, the son of Ashok Singh, opened fire to settle a minor rift..most injured were by-standers..they were taken to hospital but the local hospital seeing the public mood discharged them all...one is feared dead but the police say no one died in the incident.

A shooter of Ashok Singh has been arrested but police are yet to arrest Sanjeev Singh...and say they cannot find him..
Sanjeev Singh's cousin is Prasahant Sagar alias Mantuji- the Congress candidate from Ujiarpur.

The violence occurred with full knowledge of the local police.

There is no doubt the Congress Party is a party of chamchas..see how Sonia Gandhi is elected unopposed but this incident also shows that the Congress has blood on its hands if it allows such persons like Sanjeev Singh and Prashant Sagar to be members and office bearers of their party.

In Saharsa the wives of gangsters like Pappu Yadav and Anand Mohan Singh shared the dias with Rahul Gandhi, just as a Maoist shared a dias with Rahulji in Orissa recently. Is Rahul Gandhi promoting criminals? And whatever happened to the security cover given to Rahulji? Or Rahulji has no threat from criminals and Maoists, his only threat is the `aam aadmee' who have to stop by the road to allow passage to VIP Rahul.

And before I forget even Sadhu Yadav is now a Congressman.

So its not surprising why distinguished Mr.K.J. Rao..who successfully held the Bihar elections....and became a hero ...actually failed to clean up the Congress Party.

Bihar can be revived but minus the Congress.
