Life is irony enough but in the case of Mahatma Gandhi his story never ends and its such an irony that the man who bought his trademark round eye-glasses at the New York auction Vijay Mallya earns all his money from alcohol, something the Mahatma did not want to prohibit by law (as the Congress Party has done) but through voluntary abstinence.
